Ilari Henrik Aegerter's formal studies have brought him from General Linguistics and Sociology to Software Engineering and Software Testing. He so much liked the profession that he continued to intensively work on his skills. Being a context-driven tester is the natural outcome and he believes that software testing is not a clerical job but a profession, which needs a high level of proficiency.
Ilari Henrik Aegerter has 10+ years of experience in the field, coming from the medical software domain at Phonak AG and progressing to e-commerce at eBay. He is now the Managing Director of the Zurich branch of House of Test and he believes that there is still a lot of work to be done for excellent software testing.
In 2013 he co-founded the International Society for Software Testing (ISST), which advocates for bringing back common sense to testing. He is currently president of the organization. In 2015 he was elected into the board of the Association for Software Testing (AST), where he acts as an Executive at Large.
Since he likes talking, he often presents at international software testing conferences and he is also frequently invited to speak at company events. From time to time he does workshops on Software Testing, which he enjoys tremendously.
In his private time he likes to read a lot of books and comics, spend time with his family, test the possibilities of our world with his kids and test good food in restaurants with his wife. He believes that people are generally good and that there is plenty for everybody in this world. All that results in him smiling a lot. @ilarihenrik
Iain is a tester, test manager and occasional automator whose experience and passion for testing spans more than a decade. Despite having worked on a wide variety of projects across multiple industries, he continues to be amazed by the degree to which testing is misunderstood; by testers and their clients alike. He is currently a director at Barclays where he is fortunate enough to work with some of the best testers in the world. In his spare time Iain is active in the software testing community, serves as an instructor to future testers, and blogs at exploringuncertainty.com @imccowatt
Johan Jonasson has worked as a test consultant and coach in Sweden since 2006. He's one of the co-founders of the consultant company House of Test, as well as one of the originators behind the Let's Test conferences. Johan is also one of the founding members of the regional testing network EAST, that has hosted regular lectures and workshops in his hometown of Linköping since its inception in 2011.
The context-driven testing community has been Johan's primary source of professional inspiration since 2007 and helping that community grow is one of his main professional goals, which he hopes ISST will be play an instrumental part in achieving. @johanjonasson
